That stress takes its toll is more than known. Among others, during long periods of stress, I have experienced everything from insomnia to hair loss, but without a doubt, my skin has always borne the brunt:
In periods of stress my skin has looked so bad, I've been really embarrassed: Flaking of the scalp, redness and even rosacea. A wonder that allows you to always look like Heidi: some blushes on the cheeks that never go away and are made worse by environmental factors or by mood (of course).
The worst thing about this is that the solution mainly goes through you. Staying in this state for a very long time can lead to depression and anxiety. Not to mention that its repercussion on your personality can generate irreversible problems in your relationship with your environment without you realizing it. You enter into an expiration that is difficult to break.
Without being a specialist, just from experience let me give you some advice that helped me out of this situation:
- Detect what is generating your stress: stop worrying about it and start dealing with it.
- Nothing is impossible. Breathe deeply and try to see your situation from the outside. Write down on a piece of paper the possible options to solve it.
- If you think about a decision more than three times, make it your decision and move towards it. To infinity and beyond!
- Get rid of bad people. Surround yourself with happy people who are already sad.
- Remember often that you only live once (unless you believe in reincarnation).
- Now, focus on your habits. If you get anxious, don't eat, go for a run...
External factors that helped me:
The alpine lime tree: a holy hand for the nerves. The teacher who was preparing me for the driving licence exam recommended it to me by chance. It relaxes you much more than lime blossom and is a completely natural remedy. And yes, I passed my exam, so I assure you that it does something. (If you knew me you would understand).
Shea butter: I knew it because I was recommended to use a Sisley cream (Reparatrice) that is used to remove even the scars from the skin. The cream is really worth its (high) price. The thing is that among its ingredients, shea butter and carrot stand out. As a curious person, I looked on the internet since I had never heard of it and surprise! it is incredible for the skin. And when I say incredible it's INCREDIBLE. It has controlled 100 percent of my rosacea and dermatitis.
Yoga: try it. Part of its magic is that it teaches you how to exercise your breathing. Controlling your breathing is essential if you have anxiety attacks. It is an exercise that will also help you clear your mind.
I don't know if you realize it, but in the end, it all depends on you. Take care of yourself, be happy and remember, the good thing about falling is that now you only have to get up.
